Included within the Luna library is GameNight: a collection of more than 25 approachable, local multiplayer games designed to bring friends and family together in the living room.

We’ve compiled a list of anticipated questions and answers that detail how the latest updates to Luna may impact you, whether you’re an existing Luna customer or a Prime member.

A: A new tier of Luna access is now available as part of Prime’s gaming benefit, providing access to a library of more than 50 games to your preferred devices via the cloud. Wherever Prime is available, Luna also includes a rotating selection of PC games that Prime members can download each month.

Q: What is GameNight?

Q: What is happening to Prime Gaming?

A: Via Luna, Prime members will continue to enjoy the benefit of free PC games every month wherever Prime is available. This includes those Prime countries where Luna cloud-delivered games are not yet available.

See the latest batch of games available to Prime members and check back early next month for the next update!

The monthly Twitch subscription valued at $4.99 US per month previously offered via Prime Gaming is also still available to Prime members. Simply visit the Prime Member Perks on Twitch page each month to claim your subscription!

Q: Can I still play Luna if I’m not a Prime member or Luna Premium subscriber?

A: Yes! We’ve redesigned and reimagined Luna and opened up access to a library of more than 50 games to Prime members. However, players can still access Luna in the same way they did before we launched the new Luna. This includes individual game purchases, a Luna Premium subscription (formerly Luna+), and access to select Ubisoft titles via Ubisoft+.

Q: What is Luna Premium?

Luna Premium is the new name for the Luna+ subscription. Existing Luna+ subscribers will gain the new benefits with no action required. In addition to everything included with Prime, Luna Premium subscribers will gain access to a broader, evolving library of even more games, including EA SPORTS FC™ 25, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Batman™: Arkham Knight. Luna Premium is available now — check out the current game library.

Q: How do I sign up for Luna Premium?

A: You can sign up for Luna Premium directly on the Luna website for $9.99 per month (prices may vary per region).

Q: I’m a Luna+ subscriber. Do I need to do anything to get Luna Premium?

A: No. Your Luna+ subscription will automatically upgrade to Luna Premium.

Q: What devices can I use to play GameNight?

A: For the optimal experience, GameNight is intended for play on large screens like your living room television via Luna app or Fire TV, but you can also access GameNight games via web browser.

Q: Luna cloud-streamed games are not available in my country. Will I ever get access to the full Luna offering?

A: Our intention is to expand the availability of Luna to more players and Prime members around the world. We have nothing more to share today, but stay tuned for future availability updates.

Q: Can my friends/family play GameNight games with me if they don’t have Prime or a Luna Premium subscription?

A: Yes! Only one Prime membership is required to play and other local players can participate at no additional cost.

Q: Can I play GameNight games remotely with online friends?

A: Not at this time. Online multiplayer is not currently supported, but we’re always evaluating new features for customers.

Q: How often will you add or remove games to the game library available to Prime members?

A: Prime members can expect to play new cloud-delivered games regularly wherever available. Similarly, as with other game services, members should expect that some content will periodically leave the library. We’ll provide regular content updates and offer a monthly, rotating selection of downloadable PC games for Prime members.

Q: What hardware do I need to play Luna?

A: Very little! Players can access Luna across a host of devices they already own, such as Amazon Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, mobile devices (iOS and Android), desktop devices (PCs, MacBooks, Chromebooks), and more.

Additionally, you can easily pair supported Bluetooth controllers or purchase a Luna Controller.

GameNight titles are also played with simple touch controls on players’ mobile devices. Simply scan the QR code on your TV display when prompted and players can interact with the game via simple touch controls displayed on their phones’ web browser.

The touch inputs for GameNight titles are specifically designed to enable simple controls that anyone can understand, irrespective of their gaming experience.

Q: How can I try out Luna?

A: To access Luna, simply join Prime for $14.99 per month, or $139 per year if you pay annually (prices may vary per region). Amazon ensures Prime is accessible to everyone by offering half-price memberships to young adults, eligible government assistance recipients, and customers with limited incomes. 18-24-year-olds and higher-education students can try Amazon Prime for Young Adults with a six-month $0 trial if eligible, then pay a discounted rate of $7.49 per month or $69 per year (prices may vary per region). Qualifying government assistance recipients and income-verified customers can try Prime Access for 30 days and then pay $6.99 per month.

Our intention is to expand the availability of cloud-delivered games over time to more players and Prime members around the world. Prime members everywhere will continue to enjoy a rotating selection of PC games at no additional cost.
