Starting today, Prime members with a Fire TV in the US and UK can play Luna games inside the Prime Video app, alongside the shows, movies, and sports they already watch
When we relaunched Amazon Luna last year, it was built on a belief that getting into gaming shouldn't be the hard part. Some people like the idea of playing but get blocked by the friction of getting started. Others played games in the past but drifted away as life got busier and the time required and associated costs went up. And plenty of people don't think of themselves as gamers at all but would engage more if playing didn’t typically require experience or expensive gear up front.
Billions of people play games, but only a few hundred million own a console or gaming-ready PC. For everyone else, costs and commitments have kept them on the sidelines. Luna is built for these players, offering immersive games you can play in seconds, as easy to find as the shows and movies you already watch, and on devices you already own.
Rolling out starting today, we're taking that idea further. Luna is now available on Prime Video on Fire TVs in the US and UK, alongside shows, movies, sports, and so much more. Prime members can find games the same way they discover everything else on Prime Video, just look for the new “Games” tab and start playing in seconds right on your TV, using a controller or your phone. Luna is included with Prime at no additional cost and there’s nothing to download or purchase to start playing.
"For a lot of people, games have been harder to find than they should be,” said Jeff Gattis, GM of Gaming at Amazon. “Bringing Luna inside Prime Video allows Prime members to discover games more naturally, and if they see one they like, they click it and they’re in. That’s less time searching and more time playing great games included with their Prime membership.”
On Luna, Prime members get access to a library that covers a broad set of games, from familiar titles like Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to GameNight party games like Clue, Ticket to Ride, and Taboo you can jump into with friends and family. And we’re adding new games every single month.
Luna on Prime Video also makes it easier for members to go deeper into their favorite franchises – watch or play, all included in your Prime membership. For example, the Masters of the Universe film is streaming on Prime Video, and now with Luna you can jump into Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite, a co-op card battler where you and up to three friends team up as He-Man, Skeletor, and the rest of Eternia to take on Hordak's horde. See the movie, then play in its world, same screen, same night, same membership.
Or try Courtroom Chaos: Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, an AI-powered party game where you argue absurd cases in front of Arnold as the judge. Everyone plays with their phone, no controllers, no setup. And later this year Arnold turns up again in The Man with the Bag, the upcoming holiday movie on Prime Video. Watch him one night, play against him the next.
Across video, music, live sports, and more, Amazon has built a one-stop entertainment destination, and Luna is the playable layer that now sits alongside it. Today is just the beginning. We will reveal more details on additional devices, countries, and games in the months ahead.
